Microsoft plots Macromedia coup against Java

Microsoft is rumoured, again, to be contemplating an acquisition of Macromedia. We’ve got a lot invested into ColdFusion technologies, so at first glance this looks to be a drag.

Edwin Smith, a software architect at Macromedia, gives some hope though. “Hypothetically, at some point we may decide to run on something other than a JVM.”
