Palm-tops to guide tourists

Lonely Planet doesn’t see this as a threat, yet, and I guess I don’t either, yet. It’s much more of a social change that has to happen before this will really take off. Planning tourist destinations ahead of time will still require travel guides, online or off. If they created these devices to allow you to plan your trek through a city, suggesting great places to go, during the planning stages, this would be unbeatable. Unfortunately, it looks like they’ll be creating this to allow you to stumble along in a city you don’t know and if you’re near something important, it’ll tell you. Getting the audio information while you’re there is great, but I’d want to be sure that in the too short of stay that I typically book, I’d see the most interesting stuff.
