10,000 abacuses

August 20th, 2003 · No Comments

‘I don’t care if we have to buy 10,000 abacuses. We won’t do business with someone who treats us poorly.’ - Ernie Ball on moving to an Open Source office. He seems like an interesting guy, but making pretty rash emotional decisions.

Somewhat related, TechDirt has an article on what the next killer app will be. They point to article extolling the virtues of grid an dblade computing, but my guess is that it’ll be collaborative software. Not necessarily social, but how about a non-Exchange solution for real group calendaring? Maybe it’ll be Chandler, with Mitch Kapor at the helm.
