An unbelievably good card tonight on HBO Pay-Per-View.  Mayorga / Spinks, Hopkins / Joppy, Rahman / Ruiz and Judah / Garcia.  Should be more than worth the price of admission. Showman Hopkins has bet Joppy $50,000 that he’ll knock Joppy out, giving him 2:1 odds.

I’m a huge fan of Hopkins. I’m trying my best to believe that he and his management skills are working according to a master plan. I still think that he should have taken his lumps and fought Roy Jones, at whatever the purse would have been. I highly doubt that a fight between Hopkins and Jones will ever happen, and there’s already no chance of it happening anywhere close to either of their primes. The perception of Hopkins’ career will suffer unfairly.
